⏱ Preparation time: 5 minutes + let stand 15 minutes
⏱ Cooking time: 10-12 minutes
Ingredients 🍯🍪
250g butter
1/3 cup Manuka honey
3/4 cup brown sugar
4 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup of flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
Method ⚙
-
In a large saucepan, melt the butter and honey.
-
Add the brown sugar and mix well.
-
Add all the other dry ingredients and mix well.
-
Set aside for 15 minutes to cool slightly and firm up. You can speed up this process by placing the dough in the refrigerator.
-
Preheat the oven to 175°C.
-
Take dessert spoon sized balls of biscuit dough and place them on a lined baking sheet. Flatten the balls with a fork or your fingers. About 8 biscuits per baking sheet.
-
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. 12 minutes will give a crisper biscuit, and the biscuits will harden as they cool.
-
Let them cook on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
-
Store them in an airtight box.
